Red Bull Air Race Cannes - France.
For the first time in its history, the Red Bull Air Race, the world championship of air sprint races, will be staged in France. The drivers will compete in the French sky, along the beaches of the Croisette in Cannes for one of the eight rounds of the 2018 season, April 21 and 22.
The arrival of this discipline in France was expected since the French nationality was the one most represented among the drivers in the running last season (three out of 14 in the first division, "the Master class" with François Le Vot, Nicolas Ivanoff and Mikaël Brageot and two at the second level, the "Challenger Cup", with Mélanie Astles and Baptiste Vignes).
Each stage of the Red Bull Air Race takes place over two days with a Saturday devoted to qualifying and a Sunday when competitors compete on a circuit of several doors materialized by pylons of 25 meters high approximately. The goal is to achieve the best lap time on two laps by not touching the pylons at a speed of about 370 km / h and only a few tens of meters above the ground.
Tickets for the 2018 season of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship will soon be on sale. Find the latest news and information on www.redbullairrace.com.
